WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 1, 2019 – Whitmer & Worrall today announced that Gabe Pellathy has joined the firm as Principal and will chair the Trade and Tax Practice. Pellathy brings over 18 years of executive branch and private sector trade policy experience from serving as a senior official within the United States Government as well as the government affairs lead of a Fortune 200 company.

His government service includes five years as an attorney at USTR within the Executive Office of the President. He then served as senior policy advisor at the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security with regulatory, technology transfer and foreign investment responsibilities. Pellathy also served as deputy director and chief of staff within the International Trade Administration of the Department of Commerce.

From his time in government agencies, Pellathy developed a strong track record of successfully navigating the agency and legislative process, with a focus on international trade, market access, tax and incentives, and various manufacturing issues.
