WASHINGTON, D.C. – Whitmer & Worrall today announced that Corry Marshall has joined the firm as Principal and will be leading the Energy Practice. Marshall brings over 17 years of legislative and management experience from Capitol Hill and the government affairs department of a large trade association.
“We are pleased to announce that Corry Marshall has joined us as a senior member at Whitmer & Worrall,” said partner Martin Whitmer. “Corry’s legislative and management experience will prove invaluable to our representation of clients who seek to be the leaders of their respective industries.”
Most recently, Marshall served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Bob Gibbs from Ohio. As Chief of Staff, he oversaw the Congressman’s congressional operations and supported his role as Chairman of the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Prior to that role, Marshall held positions in the government affairs department at the American Public Power Association (APPA) and in the office of Pennsylvania Congresswoman Melissa Hart. While at APPA he worked on issues surrounding hydropower, federal power programs, smart grid, energy markets and environmental regulations.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to work with Whitmer & Worrall,” said Marshall. “It is a privilege to be part of a firm with such extensive and diverse experience developing winning strategies in Washington, D.C.”
From his time on Capitol Hill, Marshall has developed a strong track record of successfully navigating the legislative process, specializing particularly in transportation & infrastructure, telecom, technology, energy, environment and appropriations issues.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Corry for almost 15 years, and we are very lucky to have him join our firm,” said partner Tom Worrall.
In addition to leading the firm’s Energy Practice, Marshall will assist with key client initiatives, utilizing his broad issue area experience and knowledge.
