Patrick Hayden, Senior Consultant

Patrick HaydenPatrick Hayden, Senior Advisor for agriculture and trade, brings over 15 years of political & government affairs experience to the position Whitmer & Worrall. For the past 11 years he has focused on international trade, primarily related to food, agriculture and the retail sector with a particular focus on improving market access for U.S. goods.

Over the past decade, his work has connected him with the House Ways & Means Committee, House Agriculture Committee, Senate Finance Committee and Senate Agriculture Committee, as well as the Department of Agriculture, Department of Commerce, Department of State and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Internationally he has worked with Mexico, Canada, Japan, China, South Korea and India on trade issues, most recently focusing on trade remedy issues in the North American Free Trade Agreement negotiations.

Previously Patrick served as Director of Policy Advocacy for Food & Agriculture and Retail trade at the U.S.-India Business Council, Director of Operations for the North American Export Grain Association, and Confidential Assistant at the U.S. Postal Regulatory Commission. He has also worked political campaign as a field director.

Patrick hold a Master of Arts Degree in Political Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, where he double majored in Political Science and History.
